Introduce an aquarium that feels like furniture, with a comfortable viewing height and a restrained footprint beside an existing reading area.
The response
A compact cabinet holds a layered freshwater landscape. The natural timber exterior sits comfortably with the room, leaving the plants and reflected daylight as the focus.
Placement leaves the cabinet doors and service area accessible. The planting is kept lower at the front, giving the composition depth without filling every inch of water.

A freshwater aquarium can feel like a garden seen through clear water. Plant form, open swimming space and the position of wood are composed together, with livestock considered only once the environment is ready.
